Welcome to the Event Company’s Office! A Tour of GP’s NEW Office

Last Update | 2025.01.17 COMPANY

In November, GP’s new office, “The City,” officially opened its doors. This time, I, Ohira, will guide you through our office, which is filled with creativity and playfulness!

Station

When you arrive on the 13th floor and step off the elevator, the area before you is the “Station.” This is the first place visitors and employees alike step into. Here, you can use the reception terminal to call an employee or meet up with someone. Thanks to the glass walls, employees inside the office can easily notice guests, allowing us to welcome them promptly and without delay.

Central Park

If you head left from the Station area and pass through the entrance requiring a security card, you’ll find yourself in the “Central Park.” This is a relaxation space for employees. You’ll often see people working or eating lunch here. It might even be the most popular spot among our employees! External partners also sometimes use this area for work or relaxation.

Camp Site, GP Base, & Hills

Next is the wood-floored “Camp Site.” This area is often used for casual meetings around a table. Just like a real camp, it’s designed so that everyone can gather around, exchange ideas freely, and foster creativity.

To the left, where the floor is slightly elevated, is the “Hills” area. This space features individual workstations where people can focus on their tasks in solitude.

The adjacent area is the “GP Base,” where GP employees and the administrative team have their desks. These three zones serve as the crossroads or starting points for “people, information, and culture.” It’s where our projects are born!

Since the office’s overall theme is “The City,” you’ll notice playful touches such as white road lines on the floor, and a retro traffic light imported from New York—a testament to our identity as an event production company.

GP Cafe

Next, we have the “GP Cafe,” equipped with snacks gifted by our clients and a coffee machine. Recently, as part of our wellness initiative, we’ve also started stocking citric acid and baking soda! Citric acid is said to improve skin health and help with fatigue recovery, while baking soda reportedly aids with constipation relief, stomach pain alleviation, and appetite control.

Town Hall

The “Town Hall” is a spacious area used for all-company meetings, training sessions, and periodic events with external guests. It’s also my boss Kawashima’s favorite spot. Kawashima often praises it, saying, “The view is so incredible, I’d love to work here all day from morning till night.” The fully glass-enclosed space offers a remarkable sense of openness, making it perfect for gazing out at the scenery for hours.

Museum

Heading right from the Station, you’ll arrive at the “Museum” area, which connects to meeting rooms A, B, C, D, and E. The Museum features an assortment of artworks, and its mirrored walls make the meeting rooms themselves appear like works of art. Each meeting room is equipped with whiteboards and monitors, enabling interactive communication. Interestingly, there are plans (or maybe just rumors?) to convert some of these meeting rooms into a gym or tea room in the future.

LABO

Finally, we have the president’s office, the “LABO”—a space designed with our CEO’s vision in mind. The event production industry often involves repetitive workflows, but Kouhata believes that continuous learning and research are essential to producing great events consistently. Hence the name, “LABO.” In the morning, the room is bright and filled with sunlight, while at night, it transforms into a deep and thoughtful atmosphere. It’s a space where working feels particularly productive and inspiring.

Conclusion

How did you enjoy the GP office tour?

The concept for THE CITY wasn’t solely Kouhata’s idea—it emerged from discussions between Kouhata and younger team members. I, too, participated in the initial project meetings, and when I saw the completed office for the first time, it felt like meeting my own child (or so I imagine)! Previously, our office was spread across three floors. Now, with everything consolidated onto one floor, communication between employees has become more active. We’ve also been fortunate to see external partners and clients visiting our office more frequently, working and holding meetings alongside GP employees.

THE CITY will undoubtedly continue to be a space that many people use and cherish. And this isn’t even the final version! Please look forward to how it will develop and grow in the future!
