[CSR Activities] Hosted a Corporate Visit Program for High School Students
2024.10.11
Hello, this is GP’s Kosuge.
As part of our CSR activities, we recently held our first corporate visit program for high school students. We welcomed eight students from Tokushima Prefectural Jonouchi Secondary School and shared insights into the behind-the-scenes of the events industry, how events are created, and the appeal of working in this field!
What is CSR?
CSR stands for Corporate Social Responsibility. It refers to the social responsibilities that companies have in their business activities, including consideration for employees, consumers, investors, and the environment, as well as broader social contributions. It involves making decisions that account for a wide range of societal impacts.
In other words, at Global Produce, we strive to positively contribute to society. As part of this effort, we had the wonderful opportunity to host students from Tokushima Prefectural Jonouchi Secondary School for a corporate visit program.

Purpose
The purpose of this program was to inspire students with dreams and aspirations involved in the event industry. In a society where child poverty is a significant concern in Japan, we believe that providing such opportunities can help broaden students’ future options.
Program details
Company introduction presentation
We provided a presentation covering the following topics:
・Overview of the event industry
・Events handled by GP
・How event producers work, and the appeal of the job
・The values that GP holds dear (VISION/CULTURE)
Q&A session
・The process of creating events, and the types of people involved
・The future of the metaverse, among others
The students offered many insightful opinions, which not only surprised us, but also impressed us, due to their high-level perception!
Workshop
In the second half, the students took on the role of event producers to discuss the theme, “Ideas to Make the Sports Festival More Fun.” They were divided into two groups for this discussion.
“It would be fun to create joint competitions for middle and high school, since it’s a combined school.”
“Since the sports festival is held in hot weather, a shaved ice eating contest could be fun.”
“Usually, sports festivals happen during the day, but wouldn’t it be more exciting to have one at night?”
“We could create a video of the effort students put in leading up to the event.”
Their freedom and creativity in brainstorming left a lasting impression.
Many ideas were so convincing that we found ourselves agreeing with them. It would be wonderful if even one of these ideas could be realized!
Summary
When we asked the students for feedback, they shared:
“I’ve become even more interested in events.”
“I want to talk to my school about implementing our sports festival ideas.”
“I’d love to work in an office like this!”
Thanks to these positive comments, GP’s first corporate visit program was a great success.
We hope that through this activity, future event producers will emerge more often!
