About Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The making of Harry Potter

For those who aren’t terribly familiar yet, here’s a brief introduction to the Harry Potter studio tour in Tokyo:

The facility immerses guests in iconic sets like the Great Hall of Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and the Forbidden Forest, all while offering insight into how the films were made. It’s packed with irresistible attractions for fans—encounters with magical creatures, costume displays, and hands-on experiences like flying on broomsticks, sipping refreshing butterbeer, or becoming a moving portrait in the Hogwarts corridors.

It’s a dreamlike place where you can enjoy countless fun activities and truly feel like you’ve stepped inside the hypnotizing world of Harry Potter.

The first full-facility event at Studio Tour Tokyo

The currently running special feature, Goblet of Fire, is the very first time a full-facility theme has been undertaken at Studio Tour Tokyo. In other words, props, costumes, and creatures—many of which are being publicly displayed for the first time—are scattered throughout the entire venue, all tied to a single unified theme.

By the way, this facility, the world’s largest indoor Harry Potter-themed attraction, takes about four hours(!) to explore. With the entire massive complex packed in Goblet of Fire theming, it promises to be an incredibly immersive experience.

Irresistible artifacts for fans that bring iconic scenes to life

One of the highlights of this feature is the Goblet of Fire, set in the Great Hall with its signature flickering blue flames.

When the flames turn red, slips of parchment bearing the names of Triwizard champions fly out—yes, that unforgettable movie scene can be recreated right before your very eyes!

The richly detailed goblet, made from natural wood with elaborate knots, twists, and cracks, evokes the passage of time and history. Standing before it, you’ll undoubtedly feel the tension and determination of the students who entered the legendary tournament—and become a living, breathing part of the Harry Potter world yourself.

After the Great Hall, you’ll find an array of iconic props and magical creatures.

There’s the Hungarian Horntail dragon that Harry faces during the first task, and the colorful faucet from the prefects’ bathroom where he uncovers clues for the second task. These and other valuable items, including costumes, bring key movie scenes to life.

Food and activities designed for entertainment

There’s more to enjoy than just props, including afternoon tea and activities inspired by the legendary Triwizard Tournament.

The second tier includes the “Rocky Cake,” which recreates the rocky terrain of the first task’s dragon battle using meringue, paired with mango and passion fruit mousse.

The third tier features sandwiches that represent the maze of the third task—each of the three plates telling part of the story. In addition, guests who order this afternoon tea set will receive one of four different dragon-themed icing cookies as a bonus!

And you absolutely can’t miss the milkshake inspired by the blue flames rising from the Goblet of Fire—it’s a must-try!
