We commit the global waste issue through joining the World Cleanup Day
Achieving Net-Zero CO2 Emissions from Head Office Electricity Consumption
At GLOBAL PRODUCE, we are committed to promoting the use of clean energy. As the first step in this initiative, we have achieved net-zero CO2 emissions from electricity consumption at our head office. Specifically, we utilize electricity derived from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydro power, provided by TEPCO Energy Partner, Inc., ensuring virtually zero CO2 emissions.
World Cleanup Day is an international civic movement where people around the world simultaneously engage in cleaning activities for the Earth. In 2023, it was a global cleaning event with volunteers from 198 countries, totaling 19.1 million participants. GLOBAL PRODUCE has been sponsoring and supporting the NPO World Cleanup Day Japan from 2024 onwards.
Let’s Do It World (LDIW), the Estonian-based NGO that initiated and led the annual World Cleanup Day civic action, announces that the United Nations have unanimously proclaimed that 20 September will be declared ‘World Cleanup Day’ on the official UN calendar from 2024.
